Tissilli “Tiss” Rogers Wood is a wellness educator, former elite athlete, and mental health professional with over 20 years of experience in fitness, coaching, and youth development. Her work is deeply rooted in her faith and her love for Jesus Christ, which guides her commitment to serving students with integrity, compassion, and purpose.
An Atlanta native, Tiss is a four-time Georgia State Champion and a graduate of Marietta High School, where she has held the Girls’ 100-meter record for over 20 years. She earned a collegiate track scholarship to the University of Alabama, completed her undergraduate studies at Jacksonville University in 2006, and trained as an Olympic hopeful in the 100-meter sprint leading up to the 2008 Summer Olympics. She also competed internationally as a figure athlete.
She is a graduate of Auburn University with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and brings a unique blend of physical training, emotional wellness, and spiritual guidance into her teaching.
Tiss is known for her individualized, relationship-centered approach. She does not believe in one-size-fits-all training, but instead takes time to understand each student’s strengths, challenges, and learning style. Her greatest passion is genuinely caring for the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—through intentional coaching, encouragement, and personalized support.
As a wife and proud Boy Mom, Tiss is committed to helping students grow in confidence, discipline, and lifelong wellness while honoring God in every area of life.
