JoAnn is an experienced tutor who homeschooled her four children for over 20 years. Three of her four children have graduated from Metro Academics (MAS), with two now getting established in their chosen fields after college, and another currently attending university. Her youngest is still enrolled at MAS. She hosts a weekly study pod and specializes in supporting middle school students, helping them build strong academic foundations.
JoAnn is intentional about fostering an educational environment that supports student growth. She is eager to introduce learners to the exciting possibilities of AI technology and programming. JoAnn graduated from KSU with a bachelor's degree in biology, further demonstrating her ability to guide students in STEM subjects. She is a current member of the Georgia Science Teachers Association and has educator training in Project Learning Tree, WET, and WILD. She is a continuous student of the bible and fellowships at Christ Church Presbyterian with her husband and youngest.
