I was born, raised, and educated in France, in the French school system where I studied Latin and Greek. I returned to the United States, to Atlanta specifically, where most of my mother’s family live, in 1969.  For a number of years, I worked with horses and hounds at the Atlanta Hunt Club. After a number of years training and showing horses, I returned to school to study photography and design, working for a time for Mead Merchandising, supposedly in the “real world”.

It was from that life that the Lord called me, in a very roundabout way, to teach Latin at the Covenant Christian School in Smyrna, affiliated with the church I was attending. Three years later a move was made by most of the teachers and the principal to start our own classical school, ACCA, the Atlanta Classical Christian Academy, now Stone Haven, based in Marietta. From there, after moving to Midtown, I began teaching at The Heritage Preparatory School where I have been for eight years. During my 23 years of teaching I have attended a number of classically oriented conferences in Atlanta, Moscow, Idaho, and Birmingham, Alabama. Tutoring during these years has brought me in contact with many curricula with which I am very familiar and which significantly expanded my knowledge of teaching resources.

I am looking forward to entering the homeschooling sphere now and impacting young people to the tremendous benefits of studying Latin.
