Instructor

Leslie is an Atlanta native and currently lives in Marietta with her husband, 3 sons in elementary school, and dog. She studied at UGA where she was also a Young Life leader and graduated with degrees in Biology and German. She got her Masters in the Art of Teaching from Georgia State. She is certified in teaching science grades 6-12, German, and gifted. She taught several years at Dacula Middle School in Gwinnett County and served as head of curriculum for two of those years, in addition to sponsoring Science Fair, Environmental Club, and Green and Healthy Schools. She spent several years staying home with her kids and taking care of her family while they were young, and one of those years also taught at Eastside Academic. In addition, she volunteered with the kids ministry at her church and helped teach a mom’s Bible study. Now, Leslie and her family worship at Cumberland Community Church where she helps in middle school ministry. She has additional experience at Griffin Middle School in Cobb County and is now excited to teach at Metro Academic. In her free time, Leslie enjoys running, reading, travel, and journaling.
