Jen Boland graduated from the College of Charleston, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She began her teaching career as a childbirth instructor before serving as the Children and Youth Director at City Church East Side, where she developed and wrote curriculum for children and students.
Jen has been homeschooling her children for the past six years and has developed a deep love for both teaching and lifelong learning. She previously taught science for kindergarten through eighth grade at City Academy and has also tutored middle school students in a variety of subjects. She is excited to teach IEW U.S. History this year and looks forward to helping students strengthen both their writing and their understanding of history.
Jen and her husband, Mike, have been married for 23 years and are the proud parents of one daughter and three sons. Outside the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and continuing to learn alongside her children.
