Monique received her B.S. in Business Management from The University of Alabama, M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Troy State University, M.S. in Spirituality and Counseling from Richmont Graduate University, and Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Amridge University.
She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has served as the Clinical Mental Health Counselor for the Beulah Missionary Baptist Church for 16 years. Monique also provides consultation in the areas of program, ministry and organizational development and serves as a seminar speaker on various topics surrounding mental and emotional issues integrated with a spiritual perspective. She also writes and speaks on a range of issues concerning individual and family matters.
Monique has facilitated groups for teens, couples, and individuals. She has taught on relationship development, with her specialty being in pre-engagement and premarital counseling. She has a private practice and helps clients with issues such as grief, anxiety, depression, life challenges, communication, questions of faith, spiritual abuse, just to name a few.
She is most passionate about teaching individual development and relationship education. She believes this is the cornerstone for a healthy society. The love for one’s self and others fueled by a love of God.
Monique is married and has two daughters. Her hobbies include Alabama football, writing spoken word pieces, reading, listening to GREAT music, exercising, journaling, photography, scrapbooking, and hanging out with her family and friends.
