About Us

Metro Academic Studies offers à la carte classes Mondays and Wednesdays to 6th-12th grade home-educated students. Classes are led by qualified, experienced instructors teaching within a Christian worldview. Students are engaged, challenged, and encouraged to develop a lifelong love of learning as disciplines and skills are sharpened in the logic and rhetoric phases — the middle and high school years.

We exist to equip students to be academically astute and engage the culture with a Christian worldview.

We accomplish this by partnering with families who home educate and by providing excellent academic and elective classes based on a Christian worldview.

  • We believe the Bible to be inspired, the only infallible Word of God.
  • We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory.
  • We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ.
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

What We Offer

Most classes meet once a week on Mondays and/or Wednesdays for 1½ hours, between the hours of 9:00am-4:00pm for middle and high school students (6th-12th grades). Study hall is available between classes. Students may bring lunch and eat together at 12:15 p.m. in the lunch room.

Students work on their assignments at home for the remainder of the week and communicate with their teachers via email and other means.

Please read our FAQ page here for more information.

Students may drop a class the first 2 weeks of any semester for no additional fee; if a class is dropped after the first 2 weeks of the semester, an additional month of tuition is owed.  The last day to drop a class with no penalty spring semester is January 22.
