In this progressive class students will to utilize functional drawing techniques by using our Touchpoint Drawing method which uses positive and negative shapes to raise level of drawing ability. First semester consists of drawing and using blending techniques to shade for a realistic three dimensional effect.  We will be using pencil, charcoal, and colored pencil.  Second semester students design pen and ink compositions using shapes and lines to create effective designs.  Students explore layering methods to create with different mediums through step-by-step instructions. Students learn elements of art through various dry mediums like pencil, color pencil, charcoal, pen & ink, and pastels.  This is a great class for those who love to draw characters and create your own designs.  All students are welcome to participate in our annual juried art show in the spring.  Winners compete in regional and possibility of state wide art competition.
