Marine Biology for Middle School (M12:45)

This class teaches students about many unique creatures of the sea, lakes, and rivers. They will learn about the special features of swimming creatures, the different environments in which they live, and their lifestyles. We will take a closer look at specific groups of swimming creatures, including whales, seals, sea turtles, sea snakes, sharks, rays, crustaceans, cephalopods, echinoderms, cnidarians, and many more. This class will include hands-on science activities and experiments, small group activities, class discussions and research. As this is a middle school course, students will also review the basic principles of the scientific method and scientific inquiry.
