This class is a third year high school German course and min. 2 year of high school level German is required to register (if you're not a current student of German at MAS, please email Mrs. Katz to make sure this is the correct level for your student! )

This advanced class will build on the 2 previous levels of high school German. The main focus & goal of the class is to get even more comfortable in conversing in German, as well as enjoying some literature and study the German speaking countries with German materials. We will speak in German as much as possible, and only use English to explain pesky grammatical concepts.

Homework will be done mostly online, using the interactive part of the textbook and workbook. Students should allow at least 45 minutes, 5 days a week for assignments.

This class will give you a full year’s worth of high school credit plus prepares you to take the B1 German exam (offered at the Goethe Institute in Atlanta) and the National German Exam level 3 (both exams are optional and don't influence the grades but will be helpful for the future, like college applications).

Text (and online access codes) will be supplied by the teacher .

Please bring something to write (notebook and pen, plus some colored pencils and sharpener), as well as the printed materials and a prong folder to every class.

Feel free to email me with questions , I’ll be happy to help you!
