Grade Level: High School (9th-12th)

Why take this class? You will understand Biblical principles, “contradictions with science,” and places where science and the Bible work together. This class will explore the Scriptures and Scientific Principles to better prepare you to talk to your friends and neighbors about life issues today. As an example, we will examine the Young Earth model of the Earth, which is the primary classical understanding of Genesis 1, in comparison to the Big Bang model of the Earth, which is more prevalent in society today.

We will do all of this for God’s glory.

You can use this for an elective course in either Science or Apologetics.

This class is for high school students, regardless of your math or science level. Much of the homework will be reading articles or watching YouTube instructional videos and then writing short summaries or reflections on the topic at hand. The purpose of these reflections will be to help you communicate what you have learned, especially to non-believers.

Much of the material for this class on Faith and Science was developed for a class at The Church of the Apostles. One of the textbooks will be TS (Tom) Taylor’s book “Reflections on Faith and Science from Genesis to Current Events,” which is available on Amazon and other book sellers' websites.

Tuition: Tuition is due on the first day of the semester and is $350.
