Spanish 2
Spanish 2 expands grammatical proficiency and increases communicative complexity. Grammar continues to be taught in meaningful context while also requiring direct study and memorization of vocabulary, verb paradigms, and key structures. Students develop greater accuracy in both spoken and written expression. Content includes: review and expansion of present tense verbs, stem-changing and irregular verbs, preterite tense, direct and indirect object pronouns, reflexive verbs, comparisons, and expanded thematic vocabulary. Students memorize advanced vocabulary and verb conjugations and reinforce learning through structured review activities and interactive games. Reading assignments include short stories and selected Spanish and Latin American fairy tales, which are analyzed for comprehension, narrative, and thematic understanding.
