Course Credit: 1 credit Minimum Enrollment: 6 Maximum Enrollment: 20 This year-long course will cover the full range of British literature, spanning from its early Anglo-Saxon days to the more modern era. With a few exceptions, the emphasis will be on reading works in their entirety. The plays, poetry, and books we read will either be provided by the instructor or easily obtainable from the local library. You may also want to start building your personal collection by purchasing the books! Homework will include reading, writing essays, analyzing texts, building vocabulary, giving presentations, and even memorizing a Romantic era poem for our Romantic Tea. Students will be enrolled in Canvas and will submit their work through Canvas. Most colleges and universities now use Canvas or something equivalent, and high schoolers must be prepared for this experience. There is no fee associated with this enrollment. Grades and all work will still be available on Gradebook, and Canvas DOES NOT replace Gradebook.
