Text: Understanding Anatomy & Physiology A Visual, Auditory, Interactive Approach Third Edition, provided by teacher, ISBN # 9780803676459

This year in anatomy and physiology we will be exploring the theme of the structure and function of the human body. This theme will take us through the chemistry, microbiome, cells, and tissues of the body through each body system. We will go through those systems involved in support, movement and cover including integumentary, skeletal, and muscular. We will move from there to regulation and integration of the body through the nervous and endocrine systems. The maintenance of the body will be next which relies on the cardiovascular, lymphatic, immune, respiratory, urinary, and digestive systems. We will then end with reproduction with discussions on the reproductive system and heredity. We will use labs throughout the year and as we go through all these topics, we will always investigate them by applying them to real life problems and scenarios. My goal is to break the concepts down so that students can access the material and gain confidence in their knowledge and application of anatomy!
