Middle School Math
This class will cover all basic math skills 6th through 8th grade (proportionality, ratios, fractions, geometry, coordinate plans, interest, sales tax, solving unknowns. rebates, etc.) Students will work on a skill in class under supervision and have significant practice problems for homework to be sure each skill is mastered. HOMEWORK IS MANDATORY! Students should plan on 1 hour a day for homework. Each student MUST have all adding, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts memorized over the summer. Each student will meet with the instructor via zoom by July 1 to assess that these skills are mastered before beginning class. Calculators are not allowed in class or for any test. Instructor will provide the textbook and all homework materials. Tuition is $450 per semester, which includes administrative fees to MAS, and is due by the first day of class each semester. This class is a prerequisite to Pre Algebra. |
