This class is designed as a full review of the most essential High School Math concepts.  It is for any student struggling in Algebra and geometry concepts.  It can be used to strengthen math skills before entering higher math such as Geometry and Algebra II or as a refresher for a student heading to college or into the SATs. It is also perfect for the student choosing an alternate path to a 4 year degree but who will still need to take placement tests for junior colleges, trade school, police, fire, government careers, etc. in place of an SAT (yes, they all require an ASSET, COMPASS, or ACCUPLACER!).  We will cover Number sense, Measurements, Ratios, Percents, Equations, Inequalities, Word Problems, Geometry, Polynomials, Functions, Graphing, etc. We will practice each skill until mastered.

There will be daily written homework and access to teaching videos. We will meet once a week in person and once a week in Zoom study groups depending on skill level. I will help each student master the skill before moving to the next.  There will be weekly practice tests (ungraded). Being able to work quickly and under a time limit is important as all placement tests are timed.

Any student choosing this class will be given summer work and support to memorize all addition and subtraction facts as well as their multiplication tables.

We will use:  Math Refresher for Adults: The Perfect Solution (Mastering Essential Math Skills) 1st Edition by Richard W Fisher  $32 new on Amazon (includes links to teaching videos if new)
