This is the perfect class for any age student who needs to begin the journey of strong writing skills. This class will offer individual evaluation and attention to meet your student where he/she is, but it is expected each student will rise to the same level by the end of the course so he/she will be ready to meet the rigorous standard of high school and/or college writing.  

  • This class teaches the fundamentals of writing a strong paragraph with emphasis on answering the prompt completely with details and thoughtful conclusions.
  • It teaches how to write a strong thesis statement, engaging introductory and concluding sentences, and smooth transitions between thoughts and paragraphs.
  • It teaches how to find credible sources to learn about your topic and site other authors’ thoughts and work.
  • Homework is expected to be 3-5 hours a week

Tuition: $350 a semester  

Materials/Admin Fee: $50

There is no textbook.
