Recommended Grades: 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th

Grade Level: High School (9th-12th)

This class will give you a full year’s worth of high school credit plus prepares you to take the A1 German test (offered at the Goethe Institute in Atlanta) and the National German exam (both exams are optional and don't influence the grades, but will be very helpful for the future, like college applications) .

(Since my students started to participate in the National German Exam we've had medal winners: )

In the last years I have had motivated 8th graders in my classes, who did very well and were able to start earning high school credits a year earlier.

“Sprechen wir!” (Let’s speak!). Are you ready to jump on board and have a great time learning German through practical conversation, short poems, skits, and cultural experiences (such as cooking & tasting German food, visiting with local German-speaking people, etc.)? The main focus & goal of the class is to enjoy German and learn about the culture.

Homework will be done mostly online, using the interactive part of the textbook and workbook. Students should allow at least 45 minutes, 5 days a week for assignments.

Text (and online access codes) will be supplied by the teacher .

Please bring something to write (notebook and pen), as well as the printed materials and a prong folder to every class.

Feel free to email me with questions , I’ll be happy to help you!
