Come join us in Metro Middle School Spanish 1A where we will establish a solid foundation of the Spanish language in an enjoyable, highly interactive, non-intimidating classroom setting. Using the Bob Jones Spanish curriculum, we will spend two weeks on each lesson focusing on vocabulary, verb conjugation (present tense), grammar, reading, listening comprehension, writing, pronunciation, and basic conversation. In addition to the textbook, we will also complete the following projects each month: 1) memorize a Bible verse in Spanish, 2) learn conversational vocabulary words from the vocabulary book, 3) make a theme-based mini booklet to practice Spanish verb usage, and 4) study a Spanish-speaking country and its culture. Middle school is the ideal age to learn Spanish, which is the most widely used foreign language in the United States. Note: Two years of Metro middle school Spanish is equivalent to one year of high school Spanish.
