In French 4, students delve deeper into literary analysis using classical French literature, continue to improve fluency, and listening comprehension.  This course will use two standardized tests as a basis for curriculum:  the French SAT subject test and the AP French test.  Using the knowledge gained from French 1-3, students will broaden their vocabulary, take a first look at the 6 themes of the AP French test, build competency in timed essay writing, increase listening comprehension of fluent spoken French, and learn to present their own thoughts and opinions in fluent spoken French.  Students may compete in the Poetry Declamation competition, the spoken language competition, the film maker's competition, attend a week-end immersion camp, assume leadership roles in French club, and may qualify as members of French Honor Society ( la Société Honoraire de Français ).
